Care Guide

Caring for your jewelry

We use different materials that require different care. However, in general, we recommend:

  • Avoid contact with perfumes, creams or chemicals.
  • Always store your jewelry in a dry, protected place.

Below, we tell you how to care for each material.

Silver
  • Natural oxidation: Silver can darken over time and develop a patina. This is natural. You can clean it at home with a soft cloth and mild soap, or with specific silver products. It can also be professionally restored if you prefer.
  • Storage: Store in a dry place, in its box or wrapped in cloth, to avoid scratches and excessive contact with air.
  • Avoid water and chemicals: Remove your jewelry when showering, swimming, or using perfumes and creams.
  • Daily wear: Silver is a precious metal, but it can become scratched or deformed, so avoid impacts or intense activities while wearing it.

Gold-plated pieces
  • Gold-plated silver or brass pieces have a layer of 18K gold (plating >3 microns) applied to the metal. Over time, the plating may fade , especially in areas subject to high friction, such as rings or earrings.
  • It's not a defect; it's part of the piece's natural process and its lifespan . When this happens, it can be scraped off or regilded , restoring its original appearance.
  • To make the bath last longer:
    • Avoid perfumes, creams, water or sweat directly on the jewelry.
    • Store it separately from other parts to avoid chafing.
    • Clean it only with a soft, dry cloth, without abrasive products.

Resin

Resin is very strong and lightweight, but requires some care to preserve its color and shine:

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun: it may cause yellowing or fading.
  • Keep it protected: in a cool, dry place and inside a bag or cloth to avoid scratches.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth. If dirty, rinse with warm water and mild soap and dry thoroughly.
  • Avoid water and chemicals: remove it when showering, swimming, or applying creams, perfumes, or alcohol.
